Now you have a plan, you are creating quality posts with well researched topics and your calendar makes production a breeze. The next step is getting those posts out in front of the maximum number of people…quickly.

Here are some of the most important keys to dispersing your blog posts:

  1. Email Marketing – Most ESP’s (email service providers) these days make it really easy to automatically push your new posts directly to your email list. You might need to spend a little time tweaking the format and thinking through the beginning of your posts, but this is a first priority strategy for you if you have an opt-in email list of people looking to you for valuable information.  If you don’t have a lot of money to spend, check out MailChimp.  It’s a great way to get started!
  2. Directory Submissions – I’m not talking about the “get 2 million listings for $10” types of directories – rather I’m talking about the BIG BOYS. Make sure you add your blog to Guy Kawasaki’s popular Alltop.com news directory as well as Technorati
  3. Put Your Email to Work – Make sure you include your blog in your signature. WiseStamp really effective email signature tool that automatically updates with the title of your most recent blog post. Since implementing WiseStamp, some of my client’s email signatures have broken the top 20 referrals list in their analytics reports.
  4. Easy Social Media Integration  – We understand that the subject of linking your blog to social media channels like Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook has been beaten to death.  You understand the importance and we want to simple share with you some of the tools that you can use to make this relatively easy.
    • Stand-Alone Platforms
      • Hootsuite – probably the most widely used free, web based platform is Hootsuite.  I use it.  The analytics are fairly robust but the upgrade to the $5 per month plan can really extend your reach and gives you more tools.
      • Tweetdeck – TweetDeck is an app that brings more flexibility and insight to power users.
